This past summer, the owners have sold our studio. We have to move by October 2007.

Since we have not yet found another office, this means we are going into storage until we do. Please have patience with us during this transition.

We’ve been discussing how to put our grand vision into practice this year. We’ve survived and grown from a paradigm shift in how business behaves to create value. What does that really mean for our business of branding, identity and design? What is significant in how we can help clients do what they already do, but do it better so that they can take advantage of new communication and media practices?

Two big issues came up continually in our conversations with people during 2006:
- decision-making and choices
- social responsibility

This means that we are going to address these two issues in 2007.

We’re going to start visualizing our value network of people, ideas, practices, products, places and ways of doing things. We’ll share that with as we develop the protocols and tools. Simple things like helping people see what they doing will help them make better choices - and see the impact of those choices.

We’ve also have changed some of our relationships and practices to meet these challenges. Have you been doing the same?

We’re amazed at how quickly 2006 has just flown by. We’ve invested a lot of time in developing our wiki, forum, Squidoo lenses and the format for the blogs.

Initially, we thought that having an internal blog would be nice so that we could archive findings and share ideas. Clients and projects have kept us so busy that we’ve had little time extra to really develop the blogs. That’s now part of the 2007 plan.

The 2007 plan also includes building an online portfolio of our work.  So, stay tuned.

We’re still working on the design for the whole site. We’ve made the internal blog and the external blog similar except for the photo at the top. Since the external blog serves a different purpose, we thought that the photo should show us something key to identity and how we express that. This is a handprint found on the stairs in a courtyard of one of the Portuguese Pousadas in the Alentejo.

We are off to a long-deserved vacation combined with a business trip to discover the best places to hold workshops in Portugal. We’ve already set up some of the meetings to try and find a place to hold upcoming seminars.

Once we’ve returned end of September, we’ll begin work on the site again.

Ok, we’re fickle. We’re trying out some new looks. We’re going to select one soon. We hope to launch the blog this summer.
